Dessert Bus is a re-imagining (parody) of the Sega CD classic Desert Bus from Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors!
This is a Greenfoot Version of the game 'Desert Bus' by DatHeroAndy. Desert Bus is a minigame that is part of 'Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors' for the Sega CD and the 3DO. In this game, you are driving a bus from Tucson, AZ to Las Vegas, NV for 8 HOURS. You can't pause the game during playtime and you can't just hold a button. In this episode the Nerd takes a look at Desert Bus and Castlevania II: Simon's Quest Redaction! Desert Bus was a mini game that was included on Penn & Telle.
In Dessert Bus you play as the driver of the Dessert Bus and you must collect candy, ice cream, and chocolates to make it through this endless desert!

Q: What is the ideal way to run this?
A: Use an Oculus Rift DK2 with the 0.4.3 run time (latest as of this writing). Put your Oculus into 'direct mode' in the Oculus Configuration Utility. Run the DesertBusVR_DirectToRift.exe file to play the game.
Q: I can't get the game to work. How can I get it to run?

Q: Does it work on an Oculus Rift DK1?
A: We have no idea. We don't have a DK1 and haven't tried it. Let us know if it works for you.
Q: I'm getting judder.
A: We default to having mirroring turned on because that seems to help the most people. You can try turning mirroring off to see if that improves things for you. Edit settings.xml in the folder you unziped the game and change the <mirroring> option to 'false.'
Q: Can I play this without an Oculus?
A: We don't know why you'd want to but yes, you can. Edit settings.xml in the folder you unziped the game and change the <cameratype> option to 'standard' instead of 'vr.'
